Agriculture for Impact is an independent advocacy initiative led by Professor Sir Gordon Conway, based in the Centre for Environmental Policy, Imperial College London, with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
We are seeking increased and improved European government support for agricultural development in Sub-Saharan Africa. Our aim is for improved alignment and technical focus of European support, looking for gaps and opportunities for more effective partnerships. We are calling for European leaders to move the debate beyond summit statements and political rhetoric, and focus on the practical implementation of their commitments to Africa. Working locally, nationally and multilaterally, the team strives to focus on the needs of African stakeholders, particularly smallholder farmers.
